We’re thrilled to show our customers all of the updates and improvements that Chevy has made to their truck lineup for 2024. It’s clear that Chevy took a focused and critical look at their truck offerings and asked themselves what their drivers needed from a powerful pickup. For the 2024 year, they’ve done some interesting things, like take certain trims or features already available on certain models and extend them to others. Appearance options have also increased, giving Chevy truck drivers the freedom to make their trucks their own.

Chevy understands that nearly every type of truck driver under the sun turns to them for a solid pickup, from off-roaders to hard workers to luxury seekers and beyond. That’s why this iconic manufacturer is always finetuning its lineup and ensuring drivers have much to choose from. If you’re looking for Chevy trucks for sale and are wondering what surprises Chevrolet has in store for the 2024 year, we’re the dealership to walk you through the finer details. We’ve sat behind the wheel, popped the hood, and tested out the cabins of every 2024 model so that we can inform your truck buying decision. Here’s what’s new for the 2024 Chevy truck lineup.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV

Possibly the most exciting new addition to the 2024 Chevy truck lineup is the Silverado EV. It isn’t technically “new” but was previously only available to fleet and commercial consumers. Now, anyone can purchase a Silverado EV and enjoy this classic pickup’s versatile capability and impressive power paired with an electric powertrain. Having an EV model available for the Silverado means this timeless work truck can also be a commuter truck. With an EPA-estimated 450-mile driving range on a full charge, the Silverado EV is ready to go wherever your day’s work or adventures take you without worrying about the gas budget.

The Silverado EV sticks to its hardworking pickup roots, with 10,000 lbs of trailering capacity ready to drag equipment across agricultural sites or a boat to a lakeside destination. Add to that its available 754 hp, and this pickup won’t struggle when you utilize its capabilities. The Silverado EV is rich with storage space and functionality, too. Because it doesn’t have a traditional engine under the hood, that area is freed up for cargo space and boasts the eTrunk. This trunk is lockable and weatherproof and gives you something you don’t otherwise get with a pickup – an actual trunk. Plus, the RST trim has a modular console that can hold up to seven gallons and is perfect for lugging a cooler full of refreshments to a work site.

The Silverado HD Gets the ZR2 Trim

Chevy took the off-road-ready features of the ZR2 and added them to the highly capable Silverado HD for a truly impressive pickup. The possibilities are just about limitless when these two popular models come together. Offered exclusively on the 2500 Crew Cab configuration, the Silverado HD ZR2 gets you amazing towing and hauling power combined with rugged capabilities in a truck that can tackle nearly any terrain. Drivers who have wanted the serious towing and payload figures of the HD series but also wanted things like massive tires and steel skid plates to travel rough roads can now have everything they’ve been waiting for.

We know that some truck drivers want to use the power of the HD truck to tow ATVs, boats, and other adventure gear to a remote destination. The whole point of a day of boating or dirt bike riding is to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, you can’t get your gear to where you’re going if your pickup can’t go off-road, so this Silverado HD ZR2 is a welcomed addition.

The Colorado Gets the ZR2 Bison

It’s obvious that Chevy understood one major truth this year: drivers who want power and drivers who want off-road features are often the same. Some people want it all. So, for 2024, Chevy added the ZR2 Bison off-road trim to their Colorado. What’s really special about this new marriage of model and trim is that the Colorado is a midsize pickup, meaning it’s always boasted excellent maneuverability and solid fuel economy for a pickup.

Now, with the ZR2 Bison trim, drivers who need a pickup that’s city-ready but who also want to break free from the pavement sometimes can have both. The 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison can trailer up to 5,500 lbs, making it highly adventure-friendly, and boasts a payload of 1,050 lbs. It gets mud terrain tires and steel skid plates to protect important components. No longer do drivers have to opt for a full-size truck to meet their off-roading needs; the Colorado ZR2 Bison gives off-road enthusiasts the capability they need in a midsize package.

The Silverado 1500 Gets Some Convenient Upgrades

We wouldn’t leave the light-duty, full-size, and always versatile Silverado 1500 out of this roundup. For the 2024 year, Chevy has made some thoughtful additions and improvements to this popular pickup. For starters, the luxury High Country trim gets some fun and useful changes. Adaptive Cruise Control – which maintains desired speed and distance from other vehicles – is now standard on the High Country to relieve long-haul drivers of some fatigue. The Midnight Edition is now also available on the High Country for a sleek and cosmopolitan aesthetic. Even drivers who don’t get the High Country can get the Blackout Appearance package on most trims.

As for the lower WT trim, it now gets wireless smartphone compatibility, standard. That means you can sync up your iPhone or Android device to the vehicle’s massive touchscreen and use all of your favorite apps without any messy cords getting in the way. Drivers will also like that Front and Rear Park Assist is now available on the Safety Package and WT Safety Package. If you need to regularly get your Silverado in and out of tight spots, this system will help you reduce the chances of scratches and dings (and means your co-pilot doesn’t have to hop out and guide you into the spot verbally).
