Are you interested in checking out the all-new Chevy Equinox? This compact SUV has been part of the Chevy lineup since the 2005 model year. It’s a terrific combination of cosmopolitan looks and practical features that makes it equally great for those who stick to the city and those who explore off the beaten path.

We are excited to offer the 2025 Chevy Equinox for sale to our customers who want quality, reliability, and an exceptional price tag. Chevy has made just three trims for the 2025 model, but three is more than enough. That will quickly become apparent when you get to know just how much personality each trim has and what standard features you get in all models. Below, we will go over what you can expect no matter which model you purchase, as well as the unique benefits and highlights of each specific trim.

What They All Have

Performance

In terms of performance, every 2025 Chevy Equinox will have a 1.5 L turbocharged I-4 engine beneath the hood. This engine provides 175 hp and up to 203 ib-ft of torque. The Equinox can be ordered with optional all-wheel drive. Whether you choose the standard front-wheel drive or the optional all-wheel drive will influence the transmission you get. Standard front-wheel drive models get a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). However, vehicles equipped with the available all-wheel drive will be equipped with a traditional eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 Equinox boasts up to 1,500 lbs of towing power. So, if you want to take a small boat or camper on your camping trip, The 2025 Equinox is prepared to do it.

Infotainment

As for shared infotainment features across all trims, every 2025 Equinox will have a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot as well as Google built-in, giving you access to Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant. So you can enjoy one of the top search engine apps right from your vehicle. Unlike some manufacturers that keep large touchscreens exclusively for upper trims, Chevy has given every trim of the 2025 Equinox a massive 11.3-inch diagonal infotainment touchscreen. This is where you can control your smartphone when you take advantage of the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The touchscreen is paired with an 11-inch diagonal driver information center where you will find important vehicle and journey statistics.

Driver Assist

Chevy has given every model a generous array of standard and available driver assist features. Each model will have standard Chevy Safety Assist, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, a Following Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam intelligent high beams. This suite of standard driver assist features is designed to keep you from experiencing collisions on the road. All the systems work to keep you and your loved ones safe so you can have peace of mind, no matter the trip you choose.

However, that is not where the standard assist features stop. Each trim also has standard active safety features, including Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, which can bring your vehicle to a stop when a collision is a risk while entering an intersection. It also has a standard Side Bicyclist Alert, Rear Park Assist to help guide you into tight parking spots, a Rear Vision Camera, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert with Braking. The latter feature can detect traffic approaching from your rear on either side and take over braking if necessary to avoid a collision.

Drivers can additionally add a Rear Pedestrian Alert to notify them if a pedestrian is approaching the rear of the vehicle from either side. Additionally, the Equinox now has available Traffic Sign Recognition, which can detect upcoming posted traffic signs and reflect an associated icon on the information center.

The Trims

The LT

So, let’s start by looking at the LT, the base-level trim. It has the features we have discussed so far that are available across the lineup. On the inside, you will find comfortable cloth seats. It is available with a two-tone roof, for which the Equinox is well-known. It enjoys up to 63.5 cu.ft. of cargo volume with the rear seats down and has a 60/40 split bench seat that gives you plenty of ways to customize your cargo area.

The LT has its own unique grille and front fascia. While the following two trims’ grilles have more geometric patterns, the LT keeps it classic with horizontal slats. When it comes to comfort, the LT trim enjoys heated front seats and a heated steering wheel to offer full body warmth on cold days. Every trim of the 2025 Equinox has these heated elements as well as convenient hidden storage under the rear cargo floor for valuables.

The ACTIV

Next, let’s look at the ACTIV trim. As its name suggests, it’s ready for a more active lifestyle. You’ll see this right away from the all-terrain tires that are ready to tackle unpaved roads, including muddy and sandy terrains. It also has roof rails, giving you plenty of ways to attach exterior cargo solutions to your Equinox. So when the trunk space is filled up, but you still have a set of dirt bikes or a kayak to bring along, you can utilize these handy rails.

Prepared for messy days and possibly muddy four-legged friends, the ACTIV trim has Evotex seats. These are made from a synthetic leather-like material that is stain-resistant and easy to clean. It’s also durable and comfortable. You will find ACTIV stitching on the front seat head restraints, adding a stylistic signature to this trim.

The RS

Lastly, we land on the RS trim. This is the performance-oriented Equinox. It has everything the LT has, plus some style and performance elements that will turn heads and offer a more thrilling behind-the-wheel experience.

First, you will notice that it has massive 19-inch wheels and even available 20-inch machined wheels for an impressive and intimidating stance. On the outside, you will notice black mirrors, emblems, badging, and moldings that give the RS trim a street-ready, edgy aesthetic. It also enjoys roof rails, so it’s ready for some weekend excursions to hiking trails and white water rafting destinations.

But let’s stick to the essence of the RS, which is performance design and experience elements. Like the ACTIV trim, it has the Evotex seating. However, the RS has unique Torch Red and Santorini blue stitching. Additionally, it has RS debossed on the front head restraints. For a truly performance-inspired look and feel, this trim has a flat-bottom steering wheel.
