• Get your car inspected before your trip – there’s nothing worse than a breakdown let alone one that leaves you stranded far from home. Make sure your car is in top shape before you set out on your next trip.
• Buy snacks before you go –  save time and money by loading up on snacks ahead of time. Fewer stops means more time to enjoy the drive.
• Take necessary breaks – don’t be afraid to take breaks to stay alert. Stopping every 100 miles or 2 hours is a good goal to set especially for solo drivers.
• Avoid traffic – there’s nothing worse than wasting time in traffic. Try to plan your drive around rush hour traffic.
• Keep your car clean – long road trips can be unpredictable but they don’t have to be messy. Keep the inside and outside of your car clean so you can stay as organized as possible.
• Traveling with kids – keep your kids entertained with plenty of entertainment like puzzles, books, and other distractions.
• Traveling with pets – don’t forget to provide plenty of food, water, and breaks for your pets to keep them relaxed on the road
